NAMM 2012 just ended a couple of days ago, and judging from the photos and blog posts flooding the internet, it looks like we could fairly call it a "mini-SPAH."
As Rob Paparozzi's Flickr stream clearly shows, harmonica players in general and SPAH regulars in particular were well represented at the show: Lee Oskar, Mike Peloquin, Nicky Shane, Jason Ricci, Waichiro Tachikawa, Joe Filisko, William Galison, Slim Heilpern, Grégoire Maret, Harmonica John, Koei Tanaka and Frederic Yonnet and the great Stevie Wonder were all in attendance.
Speaking of which, Yonnet has an account on his blog of getting caught up in Stevie's "entourage" and getting whisked to the Seydel booth to try out the chromatics there. He also has more great pics on his blog, so check out.
Maybe next year, after you've recovered from SPAH 2012, you should consider hitting NAMM 2013. Bring your harmonica!
