Tom is an excellent jazz soloist and has played with a number of groups including the Big Harp, the Sharp Harp, Harmonica Express, Johnny Puelo's Harmonica Gang and the Harmonica Aces.  He joined SPAH about 1980.  His vision for SPAH is to continue  the current efforts to grow the membership, improve the Benefits, and preserve SPAH for future generations through active participation of all.

Gene Hansen -- SPAH Treasurer
Gene has had a love affair with the harmonica since his days in high school. He is an active participant/aide/teacher in a group of senior harmonica players in Troy, Michigan.  He is also a member of Harmonicas of Michigan.  Gene has been a member of SPAH since its inception in 1963 and has been SPAH treasurer since 1989.

Elizabeth Atkison -- SPAH Secretary and Convention Director

L.J Atkison -- Vice President
LJ, president of the Harmonica Club of Greater Kansas City, is dedicated to ensuring the harmonica is actively played and promoted. His interest began about 12 years ago after taking classes locally. He continues this tradition by encouraging fellow club members and teaching classes to the young and old a like. He likes to stress the advantages of learning to play the harmonica. Playing for health facilities has proven that once the harmonica music starts to play audience member becomes involved. Their faces show their happiness through their joyful smiles.

Roger Bale -- SPAH Membership Director
Roger started playing chromatic harmonica as a teenager, but, finding no other players and no one interested in listening to him play in Cheyenne, Wyoming, he put it aside for over 40 years.  In 2001 he discovered Mile High Harmonica Club in Denver and he joined SPAH.  With encouragement from his new-found friends, his playing has improved some.  He has used his computer skills and his habit of volunteering to help his club and to become an active participant in SPAH.

Paul Davies --SPAH Advisor

Danny Wilson -- Historian
www.bassharp.com
Danny was always enamored by the Harmonicats' "sound", but was never intrigued enough to learn to play. However, at the age of 35 he was given the opportunity to learn bass harmonica by fellow engineering technician Rick Richardson at the GM Chevrolet Engineering Center in Warren, MI. After becoming completely immersed in the instrument for seven years, he was honored to be selected by Jerry Murad and Al Fiore to "join the act" in late 1977.  His tenure as a "Harmonicat" afforded him the opportunity to share the stage with such talented entertainers as The Mills Brothers, The Four Aces, The Four Lads, The Inkspots, Bob Eberle, Della Reese, Lee Castle & The Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra, etc.
